Mallnitz is easy to reach by car, train or plane. From Utrecht you can reach the Autotrein in Böckstein in about 1000 car kilometres, which takes you through the mountain to Mallnitz in 10 minutes. As Mallnitz has its own railway station, you can also reach the village from the Netherlands “from station to station” in about 11 hours by train. If you fly to Salzburg, you can reach the village by connecting train in about 1:40 hour.
